今、世界中の化学者が取り組んでいる先端技術「合成燃料（e-fuel）」という言葉を聞いたことはありますか？これは二酸化炭素と水素を化合して炭化水素を作る仕組みです。ただし、原料である水素を調達するのは非常にお金がかかります。しかし、私たちは、高価な水素を必要とせず、特殊な光触媒技術で、水に含まれた水素と空気中の二酸化炭素を直接合成する装置を開発しました。これは世界で初めて成功した特許技術です。合成燃料は燃焼する際に二酸化炭素を排出しますが、製造時に集めた二酸化炭素と同量であるため、カーボンニュートラルです。私たちが開発したこの合成技術は、化石燃料に代わる新たなエネルギー源として、地球の持続可能な未来に貢献できると確信しています。
